Dear artists and photographers,

Once again the organisers of the Lucas Art Show invite you to participate in our 2026 event

This is the fourth year of hosting the event and gives local artists and photographers an opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork. This year our entries are online.

Our exhibition provides a creative ambience in which to show and sell your work. If you have exhibited with us previously, you will be aware of the high standard of work that is shown at our exhibition and the wide variety of styles and media. Our art show continues to attract a large number of visitors, offering our patrons an opportunity to purchase local affordable art.

As an exhibiting artist or photographer we welcome you to attend our Artist’s Reception.

Diary Dates - 2026

Entry Closing Date	6:00pm Sunday 25th October 2026
Artwork Delivery (10:00am to 4:00pm)	Week commencing 26th October 2026
Official Opening & Artist’s Reception	Friday 30th October 2026, from 6:00pm
Exhibition & Sales	Saturday 31st October to Sunday 1st November 2026
Artwork Collection	From 10:00am Monday 2nd November 2026

Awards

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories

Best Artwork - First Prize	$1,000
Best Photography - First Prize	$500
Highly Commended Art x 2	$200 each
Highly Commended Photograph x 2	$200 each
People's Choice Art Award	$200
People's Choice Photograph Award	$200
Organising Committee Award	$200
Secondary Student Award	$300
Total Prize Pool	$3,200

General Conditions

There are 2 categories: Artwork & Photography.
Maximum 3 entries per exhibitor. Can be all artwork, all photos or combination.
All exhibits must have hooks or wire for hanging.
All entries must be the original work of the artist, and must be labelled on the back with the name of artist and title.
Computer generated artwork or photographs are not acceptable.
All entries are exhibited at the artist's own risk. The organisers accept no responsilbility for damage or theft.
If an exhibit is sold, the artist will pay 10% commision.
Entry Fee is $10 per artwork or photograph.
The decision of the judges will be final.
Exhibits not collected within 2 weeks after the event will become the property of the organisers.
The organisers retain the right to use any artwork or photograph on the Lucas Art Show website, or other advertising material, unless prohibited by the artist or photographer.
To be eligible to enter the “Secondary Student” Category the artist or photographer must be aged between 12 and 18 years at 31st October 2026.
