Gordon Primary School students participate in mathematics daily.
Using evidenced-informed practices, Gordon Primary teachers engage students with rich, hands on and rigorous tasks, combining individual and collaborative practices. Through on-going assessment, teachers are able to tailor programs to suit the needs of their students.
Students are supported with a wide range of materials and manipulatives to allow them to ‘see’ what they are doing. Gordon students focus on being able to explain both what they are doing and how they are doing it.
